Drones as First Responders
This project explores the capabilities of drones as First responders (FDRs) and how they enhance emergency response efforts in modern communities. This infographic highlights five major functions of FDR as rapid deployment, live video & audio streaming, overdose awareness, and privacy considerations.
From this project, I learned how drones can improve response time, support officers with real-time information and assist in life-saving situations while balancing privacy concerns from the community.
Drone technology is evolving and gaining popularity in assisting and supporting public safety, as well as enhancing emergency response operations. In this project, I learned to take real-world information and condense the research into a visually effective infographic that is both engaging and easy to follow. By doing this, I strengthened my visual communication skills and developed a stronger awareness of ethical considerations for using drones in a public setting.
